Godiva Lodge care home in Coventry has triumphed at the West Midlands Regional Finals of the Great British Care Awards 2022, which recognise excellence across the care sector.听

The team at Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge on Heath Crescent was named the West Midlands Care Home Team of the Year at the Regional Final ceremony hosted at the ICC Birmingham on 5 November.

The Great British Care Awards pays tribute to individuals who have gone the extra mile to help improve the lives of residents within their care.

Judges concluded that the care team at Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge demonstrated clear vision, passion and dedication to the people in their care, their families and worked well with their colleagues at Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge.听

Having won their regional award, Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge will now go on to represent the whole of West Midlands in those categories in the National Finals taking place in March 2023.

Ciara Monaghan, Manager of Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge said:

This is a wonderful achievement for us, I鈥檓 so proud of everyone in my team. I don鈥檛 really think it鈥檚 sunk in yet! it was a huge achievement just to be nominated but I鈥檓 so happy we鈥檝e been named the best care home team!

Full credit goes to my team, they鈥檙e all brilliant and really do live up to Anchor鈥檚 principles of Accountability, Respect, Courage and Honesty. All I can say now is roll on the National Finals in March! I hope we do Anchor鈥檚 Godiva Lodge proud and bring back the national award!
