Checking care home quality standards
When choosing a care home it is important to check on quality standards. The independent regulator of health and social care in England聽is called the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The 聽monitor, inspect and regulate聽all care homes to ensure they meet government standards and provide safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. They publish inspection reports on their website which can either identify any areas for concern or help you to feel confident in your care home choices.
You can easily find the CQC聽inspection reports for each Anchor care home by visiting the home's information page on this website and聽clicking on the link under the CQC logo.聽
Understanding CQC ratings
The CQC awards four different levels of ratings when assessing a care home鈥檚 performance. We have also produced a free guide to Understanding CQC ratings, which explains more about how the CQC assess the performance of care homes, including Anchor鈥檚, what the different ratings they can give a care home mean, and how you can find and read CQC inspection reports online for yourself.
